Start a Journal Page With One Receipt

July 12, 2026 · 1 minute read

If a blank page feels too clean, start with one receipt. It already has date energy, everyday texture, and a reason to exist.

Give the Receipt a Backing

Put the receipt on cream paper, blue paper, or a torn book page so it looks intentional instead of accidental.

Add Texture Before Decoration

Lace, fabric, tape, or a rough torn edge should come before stickers or flowers. Texture makes the page feel held together.

Finish With One Sentence

Write why the receipt stayed. One line is enough: where you were, what you noticed, or what you do not want to forget.
